Vodafone Idea Plans To Raise $236 Mln From UK-Based Promoter

(The Corner Office Journal) -- Vodafone Idea Ltd. said its board will meet next week to consider raising as much as 2,000 crore rupees ($236 million) from its UK-based promoter.
The board is scheduled to meet on Monday (9 December), the Indian telecom operator said in a stock exchange announcement.
The board will consider issuing equity shares and/or convertible securities on a preferential basis to one or more entities belonging to the Vodafone Group, one of the promoters of the company.
