Sterling & Wilson CEO Amit Jain Resigns; Chandra Kishore Thakur Named Successor
Chandra Kishore Thakur, who has been associated with the company since 2018, is currently CEO of Asia, Africa, LATAM & Europe
(The Corner Office Journal) -- Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd. said its Global Chief Executive Officer Amit Jain resigned and the company named Chandra Kishore Thakur as his successor.
“I hereby tender my resignation from the position of Global Chief Executive Officer of Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Group on account of personal reasons,” Jain said in his resignation letter addressed to Chairman Khurshed Daruvala.
The Indian solar EPC solutions provider will relieve Jain from services with effect from close of business hours on 28 February 2025.
About New CEO
Sterling & Wilson said Chandra Kishore Thakur, who has been associated with the company since 2018, is currently CEO of Asia, Africa, LATAM & Europe.
Thakur has been responsible for leading the company’s strategy & operations across geographies and will assume his new role from 1 March 2025, it added.
Thakur is a Mechanical Engineer from NIT, Jamshedpur and holds an MBA degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University, according to the statement.
Interim CFO Arrangement
Sterling & Wilson also said its board appointed Sandeep Thomas Mathew, head of investor relations, as interim chief financial officer of the company with effect from today (16 January).
Mathew, who has been associated with the company since 2022, will hold the interim CFO position until the appointment of new CFO.
He has more than two decades’ experience in financial services and consulting, including over 15 years as a sell-side analyst with leading investment banks such as BNP Paribas, Credit Suisse, ICICI Securities and SBICAP Securities.
Mathew is a graduate from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, according to the statement.
