Star Cement CEO Vinit Kumar Tiwari Resigns

Tiwari, who was appointed as CEO in May 2023, resigns due to personal reasons

(The Corner Office Journal) -- Star Cement Ltd. said its Chief Executive Officer Vinit Kumar Tiwari resigned due to personal reasons.


Tiwari’s resignation is effective from 18 October, the largest cement manufacturer in northeast India said in a stock exchange announcement. He was appointed as CEO of the company on 20 May 2023.


The company, whose total installed cement capacity is around 5.7 million tons per annum (MTPA), didn’t provide the details about his successor.


Star Cement operates a 1.67 MTPA integrated cement plant in Lumshnong town in Meghalaya, according to its website. In addition, the company has two grinding units, a two MTPA cement unit in Sonapur near Guwahati and another cement unit at Mohitnagar near Siliguri in West Bengal with a capacity of two MTPA, it said.
