(The Corner Office Journal) -- The cases related to the corporate disputes at India’s National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) won’t be heard for the remainder of December amid year-end holidays.

All the tribunal benches will remain close from today and the normal functioning would resume in January, according to the NCLT’s calendar and notifications.

All the NCLT benches, except Guwahati, will resume regular hearings from 2 January, the calendar showed. The Guwahati bench would resume normal functioning from 7 January.

There are 16 NCLT benches across India, including the principal bench in New Delhi.

The NCLT is a quasi-judicial authority incorporated for dealing with corporate disputes that are civil arising under the Companies Act.
