(The Corner Office Journal) -- The cases related to the corporate disputes at India’s National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) won’t be heard today (14 January) due to the local holiday.

The NLCT benches are closed today on account of Makar Sankranti, Pongal and other festivals across various regions in the country.

All the tribunal benches will resume normal functioning from Wednesday (15 January), except Ahmedabad, Amravati, Hyderabad and Chennai, according to the NCLT’s 2025 calendar posted on its website.

Ahmedabad, Amravati and Hyderabad benches are set to resume hearings on Thursday (16 January), while the Chennai bench will start functioning from Monday (20 January), the calendar showed.

There are 16 NCLT benches across India, including the principal bench in New Delhi.

The NCLT is a quasi-judicial authority incorporated to deal with civil corporate disputes arising under the Companies Act.
