Trident Appoints Manish Bhatia As CFO

Indian textile fabric manufacturer Trident Ltd. said its board appointed Manish Bhatia as chief financial officer of the company, effective today.

He has 28 years’ experience in accounts, finance, direct & indirect tax, audit and business processes as well as in other business functions such as strategy, M&A, IT, legal & secretarial and supply chain, Trident said in a stock exchange announcement.

Bhatia, a chartered accountant, has been previously associated with major corporates such as Prism Johnson Ltd. and Apollo Tyres Ltd., it added.

The development comes after previous CFO Avneesh Barua resigned from the company to explore better career opportunities.

Trident, the flagship company of Trident Group, is a vertically integrated textile (yarn, bath & bed linen) and paper (wheat straw-based) manufacturer, according to its website.

The Ludhiana, Punjab-based company operates in three major business segments: yarn, home-textiles, paper and chemicals with its manufacturing facilities located in Punjab and Madhya Pradesh.
