Varun Beverages CFO Lalit Malik Resigns; Rajesh Chawla Named Successor

Varun Beverages Ltd. said its Chief Financial Officer Lalit Malik resigned and the company named Rajesh Chawla as his successor, effective 14 May.

Malik’s resignation is effective from 13 May, the Pepsi India bottler said in a stock exchange announcement.

Malik resigned to explore opportunities outside Varun Beverages, according to his resignation letter.

Varun Beverages said Chawla, the newly appointed CFO, is a chartered accountant and he joined the company on 1 February 2021 as senior vice president of finance.

Chawla is a finance professional with a diversified career spanning across more than 28 years of experience in controllership, commercial, manufacturing finance, financial planning and taxation, according to the statement. Previously, he has worked with Whirlpool and SIS Group, it said.
