SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd. appointed Vishnu Gopal Agarwal as chief financial officer of the company following resignation of Manoj Kumar due to personal reasons.
The changes are effective from 30 November, the Indian non-banking financial company said in a stock exchange announcement.
Agarwal, who is currently working as senior vice president and financial controller at SREI Infrastructure, has over 23 years of experience in portfolio management, investments, fundraising and accounting, according to the statement.
He has also raised $200 million in equity and debt from various financial institutions and banks for SREI Group, it said.
The company noted that Agarwal, a leasing expert and instrumental in managing Russian operations of SREI, has advised international clients on setting up and running leasing business in Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.
He has previously worked with Tata AIG Life Insurance as zone head – compliance and in the finance division of Vedanta Group.
Agarwal, a chartered accountant and company secretary, has also obtained Masters’ Degree in Treasury Management from ICFAI, according to the statement.
