RHI Magnesita CFO Vijaya Gupta Resigns; Azim Syed Named Successor

RHI Magnesita India Ltd. said its Chief Financial Officer Vijaya Gupta resigned and its board named Azim Syed as his successor, effective 1 May.

Gupta resigned due to due to personal reasons and her last working day was originally 13 May, the manufacturer and supplier of high‐grade refractory products, systems and solutions said in a stock exchange announcement.

However, Gupta’s last working day now has been revised to the end of the day on 30 April, it added.

Syed, who has been working with RHI Magnesita GmbH since 2019, will also be the company’s chief investor relations officer, according to the statement.

The company said Syed brings more than two decades of diverse industry experience to his new role at RHI Magnesita.

In his new role, he will work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance and enable operational efficiencies for the India, West Asia and Africa region, it added.

Syed was previously part of the global leadership team at RHI Magnesita NV since 2019, where he steered crucial functions in managing global supply chains and integrated business planning while driving key strategic initiatives, according to the statement.
