Rattanindia Power CFO Ankur Mitra Resigns; Manish Chitnis Named Successor

RattanIndia Power Ltd. said its Chief Financial Officer Ankur Mitra resigned and its board named Manish Ratnakar Chitnis as his successor, effective today.

Mitra resigned from the position of CFO from the close of business hours on 9 April, RattanIndia said in a stock exchange announcement. It didn’t disclose the reasons for his departure.

The Indian power producer said new CFO Chitnis, a chartered accountant, has also been appointed as key managerial personnel of the company.

Chitnis has a vide experience of three decades of heading the fund-raising initiative for the power sector, credit rating, risk budgeting, MIS functions and strategy planning activities, according to the statement.

Prior to joining RattanIndia Group, Chitnis was associated with groups, including Larsen & Toubro, Capital First Market, Fullerton India Credit Company Ltd., Community Finance Private Ltd. and India Power, it said.

Company Secretary Also Quits

RattanIndia said its Company Secretary Lalit Narayan Mathpati also resigned, effective today and it appointed Gaurav Toshkhani appointed as his successor.

Toshkhani is a seasoned company secretarial and legal professional with FCS and LLB, according to the statement. He has over 27 years’ experience in diverse enterprises in preferential issuance, qualified institutional buyers’ placements, other private equity funding, joint ventures, IPOs, mergers & demergers and restructurings, it said.

The company said Toshkhani previously worked with Hero Group, Indiabulls Group as well as in RattanIndia Group. In his last appointment, he was the company secretary for RattanIndia Finance Private Ltd., it noted.
