PVR Inox CFO Nitin Sood Resigns; Gaurav Sharma Named Successor

PVR Inox Ltd. said its Chief Financial Officer Nitin Sood resigned and the company appointed Gaurav Sharma as his successor.

The resignation of Sood, who opted to explore growth opportunities outside the group, will be effective from the close of business hours on 31 July, India’s largest multiplex operator said in a stock exchange announcement.

Sood, who has been associated with the company for over two decades, was appointed as CFO in 2008. He will continue to discharge his duties until his last working day to facilitate the smooth transition.

PVR Inox said Sharma will take charge as CFO with effect from 1 August. He is associated with the company since 22 May 2022 as senior vice president of finance and head of investor relations, it added.

Sharma is a finance professional with 18 years of experience in corporate finance, strategy, M&A, joint ventures, investor relations, FP&A, treasury, equity and debt fund raising, cash flow management, business finance, budgeting and business analytics.

He has previously worked with organizations like Bharti Enterprises (Bharti Airtel Group), Axis Capital and Avendus Capital, holding important portfolios in finance.

Sharma is B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi along with MBA in Finance from Mumbai’s SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, according to the statement.
