Kalyan Jewellers Reappoints Managing Director T.S. Kalyanaraman

Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd. said its board reappointed Managing Director T.S. Kalyanaraman for a further period of five years.

The reappointment of Kalyanaraman will be effective from 20 June, Kalyan said in a stock exchange announcement. His present tenure as managing director will conclude on 19 June, it added.

Kalyanaraman completed his Bachelor’s in Commerce from University of Calicut, according to the statement. He has been associated with the company since its incorporation and with the brand ‘Kalyan Jewellers’ since 1993, it said.

The Indian jewelry retailer said its board also reappointed T.K. Ramesh and T.K. Seetharam as wholetime directors of the company for another five years with effect from 20 June.

The Thrissur, Kerala-based company said the reappointments will be subject to the approval of shareholders.

T.S. Kalyanaraman is the father of T.K. Seetharam and T.K. Ramesh, according to the statement.
