Honeywell Automation Names Atul Pai MD As Ashish Gaikwad Accepts New Role

Honeywell Automation India Ltd. appointed Atul Vinayak Pai as managing director of the company as Ashish Madhukar Gaikwad resigned to accept a new role within the group.

Gaikwad’s resignation is effective from the close of business hours on 15 May, the integrated automation and software solutions provider said in a stock exchange announcement.

“I wish to inform you that I have been entrusted with a new and broader responsibility at Honeywell, as the India leader for Industrial Automation (IA) business, one of Honeywell International Inc.'s strategic business group,” Gaikwad said in his resignation letter to the board, while accepting the new responsibility.

Honeywell said Pai’s appointment as MD will be for five years with effect from 16 May, subject to approval of shareholders.

The company said Pai, who joined Honeywell in 2001, has more than two decades of experience in various regional and global roles across the company and its finance division.

Pai, a chartered accountant, has been a member of Honeywell board as a non-executive director since 2021 as well as a member of Honeywell India leadership team, according to the statement.
