Azure Power Global Chairman MS Unnikrishnan Resigns

Azure Power Global Ltd. said its Chairman M.S. Unnikrishnan resigned with effect from 13 March.

Unnikrishnan also resigned as a member of the board and Azure Power India Private Ltd., the energy solutions provider and renewable power producer said in a statement.

Azure said Unnikrishnan is looking to focus on assisting various industry bodies and companies, particularly in the areas of policy making and technology development in India.

He will assist the company’s new chairman when announced with transition to his or her new duties, it added.
