Kolte-Patil Developers Ltd.’s Group Chief Executive Officer Rahul Talele resigned and the company named Atul Bohra as his successor.

Talele resigned on 13 June to pursue professional opportunities outside the organization after a career of 14 years with the company, the Indian real estate developer said in a stock exchange announcement. The board accepted his resignation today.

Talele, however, will continue as a non-key managerial personnel of the company until 31 August to complete the smooth transition.

Old Hand To Rescue

Kolte-Patil said its board appointed Bohra, a former executive of the company, as new group CEO with effect from 14 June.

He has extensive knowledge of the real estate sector and an established track record of leading large-scale projects, from inception to successful completion, while executing sound strategic decisions and leading high-performance teams, it noted.

Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Patil said Bohra worked across functions and geographies in his earlier tenure at Kolte-Patil and demonstrated keen business sense, transformative approach, and financial expertise, contributing meaningfully to the success of the company.

“I am confident that in his new role as the Group CEO, he will lead the company to achieve new milestones and solidify our position as a leading real estate developer,” he added.

About Atul Bohra

Kolte-Patil said Atul Bohra has over two decades’ experience in real estate, strategy, finance, business development, stakeholder management and risk management. He worked with Kolte-Patil in different roles over 2012 to 2023 period, during which he also served as group chief financial officer of the company, it added.

Before joining the Pune, Maharashtra-based company as Group CEO, Bohra briefly served as regional business head at Birla Estates Private Ltd.

Bohra is a chartered accountant, company secretary, an MBA graduate and has also undergone the Strategic Thinking and Leadership Program at Wharton Executive Education, according to the statement.

Kolte-Patil, incorporated in 1991, has dominant presence in the Pune residential market, and growing presence in Mumbai and Bengaluru.

The company has developed over 64 projects, including residential complexes, integrated townships, commercial complexes and IT parks covering a saleable area of over 28 million square feet across Pune, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
