Rangarajan Sriram resigns to pursue career options outside the organization

Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Ltd. said its Managing Director Rangarajan Sriram resigned to pursue career options outside the organization.

Sriram’s resignation is effective from 14 June, the Indian home appliances maker said in a stock exchange announcement. He, however, will continue to be an employee of the company until 7 August to ensure a seamless transition, it added.

The company, a subsidiary of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., didn’t disclose the details about his successor.

Butterfly Gandhimathi said its board approved the appointment of Chief Business Officer Swetha Sagar as manager and chief business officer, effective 15 June. The appointment will be for five years, subject to approval of shareholders.

Swetha has closed to two decades of experience in various areas, including P&L management, strategic planning, new market assessment, brand management, and channel management, according to the statement. Previously, she was associated with Versuni India Home Solutions Ltd., it said.

Butterfly Gandhimathi said Swetha holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication Engineering from TEC, Madras University.
